Oklahoma City, OK – Just in time for the most electric moment of the NBA season, celebrity groomer and image expert LJ Hill was tapped as the Makeup & Hair Lead for the new OKC Thunder x AT&T commercial, which debuted ahead of Game 7 of the NBA Playoffs. The commercial, which features Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, and fellow Thunder teammates, has become a fan-favorite spot as playoff intensity reaches its peak,
and LJ Hill’s signature grooming is front and center.
“When Jalen saw his skin on camera, he came up to me and said, ‘You did that.’ Then he gave me a high five,” Hill recalls. “That moment? That’s why I do this.”
Shot inside the elegant National Autograph Collection Hotel by Marriott in downtown Oklahoma City, the commercial was filmed during one of the city’s coldest weeks on record, with temperatures plunging during a February freeze in 2025. Despite the ice and near-whiteout conditions in February, Hill and her team managed to reach the set.
“I was driving 5 to 10 miles an hour just to get downtown in that weather,” Hill said. “Thankfully, the production put us up in a beautiful hotel the night before to make sure we could all show up, rested and ready. I'm so glad they did. We weren’t going to miss it.”
Known for her precise, camera-ready male grooming and commitment to elevating men’s skin without overdoing it, LJ Hill was responsible for grooming Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren, as well as leading makeup and grooming for the featured background actors.
